The New G.I. Bill Celebrates 5 Years

2013-07-16T23:05:12+00:00

The Post 9/11 G.I. Bill is the largest investment in veterans' education since World War II. It provides upfront tuition payments directly to the school, a monthly living allowance and a book stipend of $1,000 per year for qualified veterans and their families.  Veterans agricultural training programs, as vocational training, and on-the-job training are covered by the G.I. Bill, but do your homework about any particular program to make sure. Check out the veteran-run sustainable agriculture programs listed on this website under "Get Involved - Resources."    https://walkyourtalk.tv/get-involved/ Thanks to the IAVA for this reminder. No wonder the suicide rate is so high (18 a day at last count).  That's why we're so motivated to get this film out to communities, because the vets we met finally [...]
