So excited …

The Ground Operations Field Manual nears publishing!

At the end of every screening, the audience is always full of questions.  How can veterans find farmland? Where’s the money? How can they get trained quickly? Will the government help? Are there other veterans farming near them?

So we realized we needed to produce a resource guide to go along with the film.  The Ground Operations Field Manual is almost ready for prime time, with 12 pages of resources to assist veterans who want to pursue careers in sustainable agriculture. It lists veteran-operated training farms, 100 colleges with Sustainable Ag programs, land and funding opportunities, NGO & governmental programs.

Want to sponsor some free Ground Operations DVD & Field Manuals to veteran service organizations?  Buy a Veteran Organization License at our website (Store) and we’ll send them to veteran centers of your choice, local or national.

     Investors:  Iroquois Valley Farms

Iroquois Valley Farms are impact investors. I met their CEO at the American Farmland Trust conference. Farmers bring farmland investment opportunities to them. Selectively, they purchase farmland, then lease through long-term tenancies to farmers who are independently operating their own farm business. After 7 years, the farmer may purchase the farmland or simply continue leasing. The company has purchased almost 3,400 acres of farmland, all of which is certified organic or in transition.  Please address serious inquiries to:
