Our good friends at Grow Well Farms in Illinois have a GoFundMe campaign that I’m supporting to hire vets and grow healthy food.

A dedicated team from the Loyola Executive MBA program has volunteered to work with Grow Well Farms to develop a complete business plan that will provide a clear strategy to gain a portion of the Chicago microgreens market, while promoting the success of veterans.

I love this story because the founder, Cheryl Besenjak, is a Vietnam veteran who saw our film, got inspired, took all her gardening and organizational skills and started a non-profit to help veterans transition into careers in sustainable agriculture. She works with the local schools and college, veteran groups, civic leaders, families and is doing something splendid!

The magic of crowd funding is everyone giving a little bit in order to add up to funding a project.  Go Grow Well Farms!!
